The right fit makes all the difference—especially when you're standing, walking, and serving for hours.
Find your best fit using our men's shoe size chart and measuring guide. We recommend choosing the larger size. If you're between sizes, going ½ size up can provide additional room for socks and all-day comfort.
How to Measure Your Shoe Size
You don't need a special measuring tool. All you need is a piece of paper, a pen or pencil, a ruler or measuring tape, and the socks you normally wear with your clergy shoes.
Place a piece of paper on a hard, flat floor. Sit or stand naturally and place your foot firmly on the paper. For the most accurate measurement, wear the type of socks you normally wear with your shoes.
Carefully trace around your foot while keeping the pen straight up and down. Keep the pen close to your foot without angling it underneath.
Measure from the very back of your heel to the tip of your longest toe. Your longest toe may be your big toe or your second toe. Record the measurement in centimeters (cm).
It's completely normal for one foot to be slightly larger than the other. Measure both feet separately and use the measurement of your larger foot.
Compare your larger foot measurement with the Clergy Sole size chart. If you're between sizes, choose the larger size for a more comfortable fit.

Our Fit Recommendation
Clergy shoes are often worn with dress socks and may be worn for several hours at a time. If you're between sizes, we recommend going ½ size up.
Choosing the larger size can provide a little extra room for your socks and help maintain comfort throughout the day.
If you normally wear thin dress socks and prefer a snug, close-to-foot fit, your usual size may be the better choice.
The ideal fit can vary depending on your foot shape, socks, and personal comfort preference.
How Should Your Clergy Shoes Fit?
A properly fitting shoe should feel comfortable when you put it on and remain comfortable throughout the day.
Your Toes
Your toes should have enough room to move naturally. Your longest toe should not press against the front of the shoe.
Your Heel
Your heel should feel secure without excessive slipping. A small amount of movement can be normal while breaking in a new leather shoe, but your heel should not slide significantly with every step.
The Sides of Your Foot
The shoe should feel comfortably supportive around your foot. It should not create painful pressure or squeeze your toes together.
When Standing
Always check the fit while standing. Your feet spread slightly when you put your full body weight on them, so a shoe that feels comfortable while sitting may feel different when standing.
Your feet can become slightly larger throughout the day. For a more realistic measurement, we recommend measuring your feet later in the day, when your feet have reached their normal daily size.
This is especially helpful when choosing shoes you'll wear for long services, ceremonies, or events.
That's completely normal. Many people have one foot that is slightly larger than the other.
Always choose your shoe size based on your larger foot. If the other shoe feels slightly more spacious, a suitable insole or heel grip can help improve the fit.
